Finally got a backhoe and a dumptruck, so going back to work on the ol’ room. I have found more of the floor and can confirm it is actually the floor and not another layer of stuff.
Apparently the previous owners of my current home were gun runners and drug dealers. They were raided by a swat team and every wall has a spot where a hole was made to search for hidden guns and drugs. The holes are, of course, filled and painted over but you can still spot them if you look close enough.
Taking a break from waffles… because…

So, this guy I know that used to live out here has called me once every day for a week or so now.
